Johnathan Ive Elevator Design

The design process for Johnathan Ive's Elevator was relatively simple in my opinion. Similar to the draft design for Ive's Office the elevator makes simple use on minimal elements developed using the same material. I have chosen an aluminium frame as this is how apple constructs their MacBooks. In modifying the design I removed one side of the 'cage' to provide an entrance way for the client.

Lady Gaga Elevator Design

As presented in the "Draft Sketches" Post I gained inspiration for this elevator design from a dress of Lady Gaga's. Difficulties I faced in designing the elevator were arranging the rings in a pattern which resembled the dress, yet would still provide access for the Client, which is why I chose to raise the elevator to a point where the rings were at only feet level as shown below.

As a further improvement to my design I chose to use the rings as a shaft for the elevator as shown below.

Lady Gaga Office Design

Once I developed the design below I consulted with my tutor who said I needed the further enclose the office and hence came up with the design shown above.

Below Is the original idea I had for the base of Lady Gaga's office yet I knew it needed further development as shown above.

Johnathan Ive Office Design

After consultation with a tutor the design shown below was developed yet due to complications in uploading the model to Sandbox Editor I have developed the design shown above. The design is simple in its material, yet extremely complex, similar to Apples designs.
Below Is the original design for Ives office that I had developed:

Mash Up:

If I were Oprah Winfrey, with $2.7 billion in the bank and a talk show wrapping up after 25 years of daily grind, I'd retire. I'd hightail it to the ultimate dance party, the eccentric event thrown by Streamline records tickets were sold out many days before. With party hats on noggins (in some cases) and a box full of iPads and Although she already had a slew of magazine covers, from Rolling Stone to Vogue, and appeared on a wide array of high profile tv shows Oprah won't do that. She'll hightail it to Montecito, where she’d spend her days relaxing in her 23,000-square-foot Georgian-style mansion, meditating in the tea house cut from stone mined on the property, gazing out at the Pacific.

Death Valley - California

I have chosen Death Valley as the landscape to host my model. The flat tops of the valleys mountainous areas provide excellent platforms to place the offices i will design as well as supporting the bridge.
